New Year 2025

Happy New Year!

Looking back on 2024, its been an incredible year, seeing familiar faces, meeting brand new friends to the store, and moving to our new home on 63 Gore! It was fabulous, stressful at times but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Heading into 2025, January is when the Kelly’s team is gearing up for the year ahead.

We’re working on planning some incredible new workshops for 2025, bringing in new stock for the seasons ahead and if you can believe it, we’re already planning for Christmas 2025!

We’re looking forward to a 2025 full of new adventures, laughter, incredible flowers and seeing you all.

How to Care for Your Poinsettias

by
Poinsettia Care

Poinsettias come in a variety of colors—including red, white, and pink—and are known for brightening up any space during the holiday season. These beautiful plants are native to hot climates like Mexico and South America, so they thrive in warm, sunny spots. The most common mistake people make is over- or under-watering, which can quickly lead to a sad, wilted plant.

Here’s a simple method to help keep your poinsettias perfectly hydrated:

  1. Place in a Sunny Spot
Poinsettias need plenty of indirect light. Choose a location that gets good sunshine for part of the day without harsh, direct rays.

  2. Use the Ice Cube Trick

    • Put four ice cubes on top of the soil and let them melt.
    • Check the soil by sticking your finger in about a third of the way. It should feel just moist.
    • If it feels dry, add another ice cube, let it melt, and check again.

That’s all there is to it! With the right balance of warmth, sunlight, and careful watering, your poinsettias—whether they’re red, white, or pink—will stay vibrant and healthy well past the holiday season.

We love a theme! Here’s what’s in store for Christmas at Kelly’s!

by

If you know us at the shop, you know we love a theme! Which is why we have 4 stunning, one-of-a-kind holiday themes for you to enjoy this season!

Frosty Forest: Our Frosty Forest section is reminiscent of walking through a vibrant green forest right after a fresh fallen snow. The trees feature stunning crystallized greenery, snow covered berries and decorative woodland creatures, dressed to play out in the snow.

Woodland Adventure: The Woodland Adventure tree makes a statement all of its own. Filled with bright coppers, deep olive bulbs, chocolate ribbons and playful creatures throughout; this tree is both stunningly bright and warm and cozy at the same time. What’s one of our favourite parts of this tree? That it’s made its home on within the shop on our incredible metal sleigh!

Radiant Reds: This tree is a showstopper for sure! Inspired by our Kelly’s twist on a classic Christmas with an homage to vintage ornaments that we love so much; this Radiant Red tree is joyful and elegant. Our tree includes beautiful, modern blown glass ornaments that have a vintage charm. Decorated in Santa’s, nutcrackers, mugs of hot cocoa, greenhouses, and flowers; this magical tree is reflective of all the things our Kelly’s team love, during the holidays.

Snow White & Lights: One of our favourite this year, Snow White & Lights is an incredible blend of glamour, simplicity and exudes a timeless Christmas feel. This tree is decorated tip to trunk with elegant, beaded flower stems, feathery creatures, hints of butter gold throughout and simple, elegant white bows. The accompanying display that includes beautiful white lit trees, projects a warm glow on this tree that gives you a warm feeling.
