August Plant of the Month: Turtle Vine

by

For the month of August, our plant of the month is the awesome and adorable Turtle Vine.

Turtle Vines (also known as creeping inch plants), enjoy being in spaces with bright light and moderately dry soil. When watering, it is best to wait until the plant’s top couple inches are dry and to water thoroughly and let the water drain through. Letting the Turtle Vine sit in water can result in plant rot.

These adorable plants will be available for the month of August here at the store. To order yours, give us a call at 613-267-7065.

July Plant of the Month: Goldfish Plant

by

For our July plant of the month, we want to feature a personal favourite here at Kelly’s, the Goldfish plant.

These beautiful plants get their name from the vibrant orange blooms that resemble little goldfish swimming through the deep green leaves. Goldfish plants enjoy being in warmer conditions (15-15 degrees Celsius) and bright, morning sunlight. For watering these plants enjoy having moist but not soggy soil.

Goldfish plants will be available at Kelly’s throughout the month of July. If you’re interested in one or have any questions

June Plant of the Month: Tradescantia

by

Tradescantia

For the Plant of the Month this June, we are featuring the beautiful Tradescantia plant, also known as the “Inch Plant” plant. The Tradescantia plants feature beautiful variegated leaves and thrive in drought like conditions. Tradescantias are a fantastic plant for “beginner” plant owners or those who believe they do not possess a green thumb, as they thrive on neglect.

For the month of June, we will have Tradescantia plants available at the store. To get yours, you can order by calling us at 613-267-7065 or visiting our website.

Store Hours Update

by

As we have been getting updates about what will be allowed in the coming weeks, we wanted to keep you all informed as well. Until Monday June 14th, we will be continuing our current Lockdown hours at the store. This means we will be open Monday – Saturday from 10am – 3pm for curbside pickup and delivery.

If all goes to plan and the Province permits it, we will hopefully be re-opening Kelly’s on June 14th. If we are able to do so, then our business hours will return to Monday – Saturday, 9am – 5:30pm and Sundays 11am – 5pm. If permission to open is granted, then we will be following all Province Phase One re-opening measures and signage will be posted at the store entrances.

As always, we will continue to keep you updated on our opening plans through our Facebook page and if you have any questions you can always give us a call at 613-267-7065. Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us during this latest Lockdown and throughout the pandemic. We truly could not have done it without you and we can’t wait to see you all again!
