We want your Valentine’s Day roses to look beautiful for as long as possible. Follow these simple tips to help them thrive well past February 14.

Tip 1: Remove the water picks

Roses are water-picked individually to keep them hydrated during transport. Once home, carefully remove the water picks before placing the stems into a vase with fresh water and theprovided preservative.

Tip 2: Mind the temperature

Cold temperatures can damage roses quickly. Avoid leaving them in cold spaces during transport so they don’t freeze or become stressed.

Tip 3: Trim the stems

Before placing roses in water, trim about one inch from the bottom of each stem using a sharp knife. Cutting under water is ideal and helps the flowers absorb nutrients more effectively.

Tip 4: Keep them hydrated

Check your vase daily and top up the water as needed. Fresh water is key to keeping roses vibrant and long-lasting.

We know it’s only the beginning of February, but Valentine’s Day has a way of sneaking up fast.

Our Galentine’s Day Workshop is almost here, and we’re counting down the days.

We love Galentine’s Day, and we love workshops—so naturally, we decided to combine the two.

This year, we’re celebrating a little early so you can still keep your February 14 plans intact.

Join us on Monday, February 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Jazzy’s Brewhouse for a creative and fun evening of floral design with your best friends. You’ll design your own arrangement while enjoying one of Jazzy’s signature cocktails—turning an ordinary Monday night into something special.

Tickets are $75 per person and include all floral supplies plus your beverage from Jazzy’s.

Space is limited and fills quickly. To register, visit the Kelly’s website or give us a call at the store.

We can’t wait to celebrate Galentine’s Day with you.

Now, you might be wondering… “How is this year’s event different?” Great question!

In past years, our Facebook Live coincided with our in-store Christmas Open House — but this year, Halloween falls on our usual date. Instead of making you switch from trick-or-treating mode straight into holiday cheer, we’ve decided to hold the Facebook Live after the Open House, giving you a fresh, relaxed peek into the holiday magic of Kelly’s! Plus, if you know Krista, you know there are always surprises in store… You’ll just have to watch to find out!

We’re especially excited because this Christmas, we get to show you virtually how Christmas at Kelly’s will look with our newly renovated shop!

If you have any questions about the event, feel free to give us a call at 613-267-7065 or email us at contact@kellysflowers.ca
